Stone Cold Busted.
OK, here’s the scene: Several Cameron Hill residents requested a meeting with BlueCross officials to discuss why BlueCross wasn’t building the planned downtown apartments to replace The Cam once it’s demolished for the new BlueCross HQ. So it’s the Cams, BC suits, Worst-Mayor Ron and a staff member. Oh, also, you should know that KPH (Kinsey, Probasco Hays) had been working with BlueCross to acquire land and help them develop the new downtown apartments.
So, the meeting's underway and everyone’s having their say. The Blue Boys are all—sorry, this is the way it is. We can’t make the new apartments work and we think we’re being totally fair by paying you money that we aren’t obliged to.
The Cameron Hill Residents are like, um…we want to stay in our houses. Can we please stay in our houses? Because staying in our houses, yeah, that would be good.
And Littlefield busts out with this bit of randomness: It’s all Kinsey’s fault! He didn't do what he said he’d do. And since he supported my opponent, he won't even meet with me. So, there’s nothing I can do to help you. *sniffle*
Blank looks all around.
But wait, it gets better. Actually, Worster. A bit later, Littlefield leaves the meeting--to attend to vital traffic-light related issues, no doubt—and the BlueCross guys go out of their way to clarify with the Cams that it wasn’t Kinsey’s fault at all. They explained that everyone involved (back when Kick-ass Corker was in the mix as well) had tried to work out a way to build the new apartments, but they just couldn’t make it happen.
Ouch! Busted!
Hell, BlueCross could have left it alone and looked like the good guys, but didn't. You should consider yourself well and truly dissed when a corporation doesn’t want to seek cover in your lies. You are truly, deeply unfit to be a civic leader when you behave so tactlessly. Oh, and you're a liar, let's not forget the lying.
