The Wheels Have Completely Come Off.

Finally. The City Council of Chattanooga finally started acting like the independent legislative body it was set up to be. You'll want to read the morning paper, or just visit Chattanoogan.com, to see how they finally stepped into the mess that Littlefield has made of the recycling situation.

It's hard to believe, but Littlefield can't even get the Public Works stuff right--and that was the only practical experience he brought to the job. Well, unless we need a solid-waste dump built in the city in the near future.

My favorite part is where the Littlefield Masterminds (Ron, Dan and MichMich) announce their new and improved plan and it doesn't even save money--which was their whole reason for cutting out curbside recycling to begin with. No wait--I'm a taxpayer, that part sucks too.

Congratulations to Franklin, Benson, Rutherford, Rico and Robinson-- you stood up and said, 'enough.' 'Bout damn time.

Now, please, let's all push the re-set button and approach a solution to the situation logically and with an eye to the long-term. Especially a term beyond this mayor.

A very bleak day for the Littlefield administration: complete impotence.
